Its texture and khaki-like color are familiar and easy on the eyes — we then finish it to a semi-gloss, which has two distinct advantages. The first is it adds depth to the color and pattern and really brings out that olive drab tone. The second is that the polish makes it more resistant against finger oils, moisture, and the elements in general. Canvas micartas tend to darken in color over time, but done this way that will happen much slower, if at all.
